The GDST maintains a professional Secretariat that works to promote the uptake of GDST standards and provide technical support to companies implementing them.  In addition, under the guidance of its Supervisory Board, the GDST Secretariat carries out multiple other functions including managing partnerships with other industry platforms and associations, addressing relevant policy and regulatory issues, and curating the technical standards.

The Secretariat works under the leadership of the GDST's Executive Director, Mr. Gregory Brown.  The Secretariat team includes regional points of contact for companies in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.
